WHAT WE DO

SEA Programs

SEA’s holistic approach empowers individuals to learn how to access social services, become better parents, complete a high school education, gain employment, and live productive, self-determined lives. SEA adopts a multi-faceted approach to encourage this personal and social growth. We work with our participants by helping them evaluate where they are, helping them see their potential, and helping them create a path towards achievement.

Our Approach

SEA works with our youth in a safe and supportive environment to enable them to become self-directed, self-determined, and productive members of society.

THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE

The youth and families we serve live in communities that face overwhelming challenges. In many of the communities we serve the average rates of poverty, unemployment, and high school dropouts exceed the averages of Los Angeles County.

This combination of poverty, lack of access to education, and densely populated neighborhoods, creates an environment for at-risk youth to engage in gangs, drugs, and violence. In spite of such overwhelming challenges, the youth and families that SEA serves have tremendous potential and resiliency. SEA offers each of our students and program participants the resources, opportunities, support, and services they need to pursue a healthy future.

In the past year, SEA has served:
